Introduction

You've seen how the SQR3 method was used for the article "Our Changing Climate." Now it's your turn to use the SQR3 method. You can always go back to the previous example to guide you if you need help.

Remember, the key to this reading strategy is to ask questions that get at the main idea and important supporting information in a non-fiction reading passage.

Instructions

1. The SQ3R Method

Read the following article, "Job Trends - From the Wonder Years to the Working Years." When you are finished reading, complete the "SQ3R Method" template. For the "Recite" and "Review" sections of the article, identify and focus on one section of the article only.

Complete the second section of the send in assignment template after reading the article.

2. SQ3R Reflection Paragraph

Write a personal reflection on your experience using the SQ3R process. Your reflection should be a solid, well-developed paragraph of approximately 125 words where you write about the SQR3 reading strategy presented to you and how it helped you as you read "Job Trends." Think about how you can apply this strategy in other situations, especially in other courses you might be taking. Talk about other reading strategies you may have used, such as context clues, or separating facts from opinions.
