Now that you have made some notes about the two short stories, you will already have some information about the similarities and differences in voice. Remember the voice is the attitude that is conveyed by the narrator or author. In your comparison assignment, you will be asked to pay particular attention to the two voices. This is a good time to use a Venn diagram - a diagram that help you to notice similarities and differences between stories. Remember that the overlapping portion is where you will put what elements of voice the stories share. In the separate parts of the circles, put what makes the stories unique and effective in voice.
