Lesson 4.4A: Exam Preparation Made Easy!

Now that you are in high school, the world of provincial exams has hit you. These are exams that are mandatory for every student in British Columbia to write; they are challenging exams that count for a significant percentage of your final mark.

In this lesson you will be provided a quick and easy way to prepare for your English 10 Provincial Exam. In particular, you will be asked to complete two sample provincial exams; one you will complete and mark yourself, and one that you will complete and submit as your final assignment for this module.

Getting Ready for the Pretest!
The first two topics in English 10 Exam Preparation Package are a general introduction to the English 10 Provincial Exam and some useful study and test-writing tips. Please begin by reading the sections titled "An Introduction to the English 10 Provincial Exam," and "Tips for Studying, Reviewing, and Test Writing" in your exam preparation package. While you are reading, think about how each piece of advice is useful to you as you prepare to write your English 10 Provincial Exam.

In Sections 4, 5, and 6 you will be guided through a step-by-step analysis of the three parts of the provincial exam. Read those sections now - carefully. Consider making notes that you can glance at before you write the real exam.
