Guided Practice 5.1 D2: Imagery

Instructions

Notice as well that in the prologue to Romeo and Juliet there are a number of references and images relating to love, fate, and death-a rather strange combination of ideas. Many images connected to these ideas will also appear throughout the play. Shakespeare, though, makes sure we understand all three ideas are closely intertwined, beginning in the prologue.

Take a few minutes and identify words or phrases in the prologue that relate to the images of love, fate, and death.
