IA12 (Introduction to Apprenticeship 12) is a two credit co ruse designed to help you understand what apprenticeship is and how it could benefit you as a student. As a component of the Northern Opportunities Initiative, this course will provide students with the exposure to a career in trades, and help towards a seamless entry to post secondary training. You will gain an understanding of the British Columbia Industry Training Authority Website (ITA) and Secondary School Apprenticeship. You will explore a specific trade through a 30 hour work experience placement, which could lead to a paid apprenticeship position.
