How to View a Website

Purpose

Webpage purpose

Most websites have a domain, which is their Web address or URL (the Uniform Resource Locator). You can look at the last part of the domain to get a clue about what the purpose of the site may be, such as dot edu for an educational site. Sometimes this part of the domain identifies what country the site is registered in, for example .ca for Canada, .uk for the United Kingdom, or .de for Germany. Credible organizations and companies usually use a domain suffix that identifies their purpose, but be aware this is not the case for all websites.
