This course consists of four modules: three compulsory modules (1, 2, and 5) and a module selected from a choice of two modules (3 or 4). Each module has five sections and a module test. The modules are thematic and focus on both fiction (short stories, novels, plays, poetry) and non-fiction (essays, articles, editorials, journals). Improving writing skills is one of the main goals of this course. Grammar workshops are included throughout the modules. Module choices must be made at registration.

Science 8 is an on-line course with four modules:

  • Module 1: Life Science: Cells and Systems
  • Module 2: Physical Science: Optics
  • Module 3: Physical Science; Fluids and Dynamics
  • Module 4: Earth Science: All About Water

Each module contains sections with self-marking Guided Practice activities (answers provided) as well as Section Assignments which you submit online to your instructor for marking.

Social Studies 8 is an on-line course designed to let you examine the historical development of civilizations in Europe, the Middle East, the Far East, and Africa from ancient times to the early 1600's. Students will discover many differences between these civilizations, but many similarities as well. This course uses two text books, Pathway: Civilization Through Time and The Canadian Oxford School Atlas.
