Section 4.1:
Storytelling Traditions
What is the history of stories? Stories and storytelling have a long history, and in this first section of the module, you will take a trip through that history. Beginning with ancient storytelling and myths, winding through aboriginal storytelling and the singing of ballads, continuing on with a quick peek at a Shakespearean play, and finally ending up with the modern interest in memoirs, you will be given a grand tour of stories!
Your work in this section will be to create and record a dramatic reading, to compare two memoirs, and to create your very own narrative.
