From geography to culture Global Business is an exciting topic in the business community today. This course is designed to help students develop the appreciation, knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to live and work in a global marketplace.It takes a global view on business, investigating why and how companies go international and are more interconnected.
The course further provides students a conceptual tool by which to understand how economic, social, cultural, political and legal factors influence both domestic and cross-border business. Business structures, global entrepreneurship, business management, marketing, and the challenges of managing international organizations will all be explored in this course. Students will cultivate a mindfulness of how history, geography, language, cultural studies, research skills, and continuing education are important in both business activities and the 21st century.

Leadership Class Overview
This course continues to motivate students to take an even more active leadership within the class, the school community, and the community at large. Students will continue to develop skills in communication, interpersonal relations, leadership, teamwork, and conflict management and will begin to both apply and assess these skills in roles such as the planning and facilitating of both community and school events. Students will also carry on constructing value in self understanding and in viewing the complexity of social diversity while acquiring an appreciation of the importance of contributing to their communities and helping others throughout their lives as a means of a healthy existence.
Leadership Mission Statement:
Leadership students will work as members of a collaborative team to create a spirited and supportive community within North Peace Secondary School, striving to be positive role models for their peers; inclusive and accepting of all community members; enthusiastically encouraging academic and character growth; and respectful of the opinions of others.

We will be aligning this course with the Schools and Scouting program to give students a rich understanding of outdoor skills, risk management, preparation, leadership and community participation. You will learn and develop practical skills in outdoor physical activity, first aid, survival skills and seasonal camping techniques.
In addition, you will also learn about group dynamics and leadership, outdoor literature, equipment selection and care and trip/event planning. This will give you a balance of knowledge to deal with a variety of outdoor activities. As physical fitness and conditioning is an important part of being prepared for the outdoors, our personal fitness modules will enable you to participate effectively and safely during planned excursions.
